68c for ranger

hi guys I am an recent enlistee in the army. I wanted desperately to acquire an option 40 with a 68w but it wasn't in the cards. Instead I took the 68c mos with no options. I was wondering if any of you knew whether this is a good route to get recruited out of AIT to be a Ranger Medic? Thanks in advance.
