You should see about volunteering when you are AT Benning. Good luck and you're right, you soft skills people are hard to get into the Regiment.

Welcome.

My dad was CO of E troop 2/2 in Germany '68 when Russkies invaded Czechoslovakia.

Become a big asshole and your unit will beg the Army to send you to RIP.

If you get to Airborne school I would take a walk to Regiment when you get the chance. You never know what might happen or what slot might be open.

I think there is a MI puke here somewhere that pretended to be a Ranger when he hide out in his office.

Not trying to be a smartass or anything (BTDTs I'm sure will correct me if I'm wrong)

Won't you be looking at ROP instead of RIP? 96B points are 350 right now, it's ridiculous, you could show up to the board 10 ways of fucked up, run a 15 minute mile, shoot 26/40, and just generally be a a bit of a turd, and still get picked up.

Everyone I went to AIT with that was an E4 is now an E5, and many (such as myself) have already been to the board and are waiting to come out on the list, or will soon attend the board.

It seems as though, unless your unit feels you aren't ready to be an NCO. Or you're dead set on going to RIP that you'd be doing ROP.
