Introduction- Jay

Post by wannabegonnabe »

Hi, my name is Jay, I'm 23 years old, I graduated high school and I'm just shy of my college degree.I recently enlisted in the Army, with a 11x Contract with option 40. I ship out for basic on 20130123. I'm looking forward to being a member on the site and learning a lot more, and being mentored by some of the best.

I have occasionally seen pullups posted not sure if those are being requested as well.
Ranger Jim, what is the proper way to be assigned to a Ranger Mentor for training?

Good baseline. You have time to improve your performance. I see you are learning already. Tell us more: where do you go to school? Where do you live? Why do you want to be a Ranger? Never, never quit!

Thank you, Ranger Jim. I was born and raised in North Carolina, that is where the majority of my schooling took place. I went to ORU in oklahoma and that is where I currently live. As stated earlier I grew up in North Carolina not far from Georgia and had the fortune of meeting quite a few military members. My family has a pretty decent amount of military members also. I first heard of RANGERS in my youth. Since a kid I always wanted to be apart of a elite military unit. Family friends were SF,SEAL,RANGER you name it, there was someone there who had BTDT. So I studied and researched and trained and finally came to the decision to go for the prize of being an elite US Army Ranger. One of the main reasons I want to be in special operations family is just that it is a family like no other. I have always looked for that one friend that backed me 100 percent and I them like wise, sadly in today's society there is a tremendous shortage. However special operations( RANGERS) there is no such shortage, couple that with the training and experiences of a lifetime and to me it is a no brainer. To serve with and be apart of the FAMILY that protects United States and everything I believe in, it is all I have ever wanted.
Rangers,Sorry if that was longwinded and thank you all for Leading The Way.

Roger, Ranger Jim
I also did the research, about the mentor situation. Several post said that I will have access once I have been upraded to DEP/ Future Solider OPT. 40. Do I need to present any information besides my earlier post stating that I secured an Opt. 40 and a shipdate to be upgraded?
