Army Rangers vs. North Korean Spec Ops

Post by Worldweaver »

Next weeks Deadliest Warrior (Spike TV) is Army Rangers agains North Korean Special Operations forces. Tim Kennedy and Lt. Col John Lock(ret) are representing the Rangers. Should be a decent showing, I saw a preview showing Kennedy using the SR-25 for the sniper scenario and looked like he was doing pretty well.

Not usually a fan of the show because, as with all these shows, producers usually determine the outcome. That being said it will be fun to see this episode play out. 8)

If you cut off all the "we give the edge to..." and the cheesy fight scene at the end, the show ain't bad. The episodes where the theme is two "units" facing off are usually worse (5 on 5... yeah, whatever!) than the 1 on 1's. That being said, it's good that someone (anyone!) is bringing attention to the whole north Korea problem.

I want to see Abraham Lincoln versus Mahatma Gandhi.

Lincoln has the reach and top-hat weapon, but Gandhi has wicked endurance and distracting flowing robes.

All the Rangers will have to do is toss some food on the ground. The fucking North Koreans will dive at the chow and then the Rangers can just stomp on their heads.

I've always thought the same thing, but for some reason the CJ-2 and CJ-3 give you funny looks if you suggest it during the morning brief.

Rangers won...Not that any one could ever doubt it, Hell...you could blindfold the entire North Korean population with a spool of dental floss.

I was trying to kill insomnia last night and also caught the "One Man Army" show. There were a few episodes with Rangers as participants including this weeks.

The host is a guy names Mykel Hawke, former Green Beret/SPECOPS.

The weapon that gave us the slight edge for the win...The Claymore?!!!

A Fucking Claymore!!!

I would also love to see that little Korean dude pull that flying spinning crescent into a plate carrier.

Honestly, a fairer matchup would have been ROK Rangers. Those boys don't fuck around either.

Not to mention the fact that the same plate carrier has stopped more than a few rounds 7.62x39!
