Airborne Physical Wednesday

Post by kp25 »

Greetings Rangers,

I have been waiting my waiver for a knee scope since February. It was finally approved. Now hopefully I can pass the Airborne physical Wednesday.

I have tenetively been offered an 11x Option 40. I am going to hold out for an 11b option 40 if all goes well and I pass my physical.

Anway, that was the update.

Thank you for your time

Not sure if you meant it or not, but I'm reasonably sure that you have to go 11x, you don't get to choose 11B or 11C.

Getting back in my lane, knocking out 50 for posting.

Thank you for correcting me Dntwishforitwrkforit

Rangers,

There is a chance I might get dq'd from the airborne physical and be offered an 11x opt 40 because of my medical history. This leads me to my question;

Will not getting Airborne in my contract hinder my ability to get into the 75th?

Thank you

You will just have to jump without a parachute.
That's not all bad though, means you don't have to yell GERONIMO

Ranger Tater Nuts, Ranger Ron,

So if the end goal is to be assigned to the 75th, would you recommend signing an 11x opt 40 contract if Airborne is not specified in my contract?

Also, RangerRon, I see your location is Nebraska. I am from North Platte, NE.

Thank you

New USAREC message is out saying that if you require a medical waiver that you are not authorized an airborne physical. I will post the message next time I'm at work and think of it. Not the end of your Ranger dreams, just means you will have to fight for it in OSUT.

Thank you Rangergoon175,

So to clarify, if I just enlist 11x, and I figure out how to separate myself from the pack in a positive way, I most likely won't end up a mortar man, or driving a tank? Not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just not my goal.

Thanks again
