Re-Introduction

Post by GoardHeart »

Please allow me to re-introduce myself. It's been quite a while since I've been an active member of this community but I'm happy I made my way back. My name is Thomas, currently an active duty Captain stationed at Ft. Myer, VA assigned to B Co 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment "The Old Guard." I've been here for a little more than a year now, I served as a rifle PL for about 8 months and for the last 6 months I've worked as an XO. I love the unit and have an amazing admiration for the Soldiers here and the unique mission of The Old Guard. It has been my privilege to lay to rest some of America's finest warriors from the past and present. Anyways, glad to be back.

Glad to have you back, Captain. You know a First Sergeant friend of mine there in the Old Guard. Tell him I said hello.

Welcome Sir,
You don't by chance have an ornery Irish lad in your company that got back from RS in 2010, do you? Should be an E5 by now. He was my Ranger buddy for a while.

I knew him by name only, all the Bat-boys in my class used to talk about him from RIP, then I got here and met him. Solid Soldier/leader.

The way I became a Ranger and have earned the small amount of success I have had in life has been mostly due to one quality - determination. Lefty.
