Army Private (Medic) Awarded Silver Star
Re: Army Private (Medic) Awarded Silver Star
Ranger Spartan, I am grateful for this fine information about Pvt Turner. Pvt. Turner is a fine individual and a true hero. What's the saying? "no man have more love than for his brother...."Spartan wrote:A Private who serves as a medic in the 101st has been awarded a Silver Star for actions in Iraq for rendering aid under fire:

Damn good job PVT Turner!!!!

Makes me feel good that this kind of quality and valor exists throughout the army and all services of our beloved country. :D :D
DEP'ers look at this guy before this incident... a nobody medic PRIVATE who went above and beyond the call of his rank to make sure his shit was squared away... equip, knowledge etc. Then he steps up to the plate and performs like a veteran NCO would. Motivation and being prepared is the only answer. Every day is a real world situation, train like it is and you will be ready.

It is our job to protect the lives of those protecting others. That man put his own safety aside to save his brother. For this, I say we all raise a glass in his honor. On a side note, current past and future Rangers can always feel assured that if you ever so like backing, that THIS HARDCORE FUCKING HOOAH RANGER MEDIC, will be there of you. No matter what the cause or reason.Desert Sloth wrote:Outstanding job, gotta love them medics....always there to risk their lives to save yours.
