Hello everyone,
I'm on a little break from OSUT so here is what I've been up to. I scored a 290 on my most recent PT test (66 PU, 84 SU, 12:52 2-mile). My puhsups and run time have dropped a bit but I'm going to put hard work in over the break. I've been doing morning PT as well as crossfit at night. Our morning mainly consists of running or PU and SU improvement. I'm excelling at most of my training and did great in the combatives tournament. Getting punched in the face was fun. I always manage to laugh (at the right moments) and feel very good about what I am doing. I know why I am in the Army and that is the biggest difference I have seen between myself and most other people at OSUT. I have grown as a leader quite a bit and have been doing a lot of "babysitting" as well. I'm starting to get into good shape am shooting to max my next APFT. I struggled a bit at first with the M4 but ended up qualifying Sharpshooter. I've really enjoyed the experience so far and I have grown more than I expected. Thanks to everyone here for the wealth of advice.

Like I said in my PM.
Stay focused
Stay in shape during your break
Stay out of trouble
and Re-charge your mental and physical batteries
Good work now lets go for the big one.

Eh dickhead you mean to tell me they are using M4s at OSUT now?
Re: Sitrep
Yeah when I went through in sept 04 we had m16a4. We qualed IS, but during the AIT portion we go our hands on CCO's (pretty shitty ones but eh its TRADOC) and even PAQ4's for a Range or two for familiarization.
