Eric,

WEAK intro, wildman.

Perhaps you should have conducted a proper recon and read some information PRIOR to making your first post.

Attention to detail ! ( You will hear this OFTEN in your future IF you decide to attempt to become a U.S. Army Ranger. )

You will find alot of information here to assist you.

Read MUCH, post little, tighten up your shot group and most important

Ranger RANGER513,

I thank you for your reply and appoligize for the weak Intro, allow me to try again.

Hi my name is Eric I am a recent high school graduate who live in the Austin, Texas metropolitan area. I currently work construction but am seeking something greater in life, and I think that the chance to become an Army Ranger is a great opportunity for me. I am in decent shape having been working out steadily for around a year now but do realize that I must take that to a new level if I want a chance at passing RIP and hopefully Ranger School. I have four relitives who served, one in the Marines and three in the Airforce, I greatly respect and look up to them for their service. I will be sure to use all the information on this site to my advantage and after understanding a lot more of the process required to becoming an Army Ranger will I set up an appointment with a recruiter.

Better.

Researching this site BEFORE you go to a recruiter is a VERY smart move on your part.

Welcome here, young man.

Others will be along shortly for much better advice than I could ever give.

Welcome Eric, nice recovery.

Advice:

1. Get yourself an Avatar. Don't post again until you do.

2. Use the search button often and frequently for any question you have. Odds are whatever question you have, its already been answered.

3. Don't sign ANYTHING until you have the Option 40 contained in your contract should you decide to volunteer for service (no matter what your recruiter may or may not tell you).

4. Do pushups, situps, run and strenghten your legs by rucking up hills or trail.

5. When unsure of what to do, do pushups.
