Tabata?

Anyone tried this? I am interested in combining this into my runs, and was looking for feedback from anyone who has tried this. Kind of looks like a Crossfit workout.

This is pretty close to HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training. I did a very simple version where I set my timex ironman to count down in 2 min intervals. Then walked for 2 min, jogged for 2 min, then sprinted for 2 min. Did that for 2 miles. Got my PT scores down to 6 minute miles for 2 miles, which wasn't too bad for a 42 y/o.
