Blackberry Storm

Post by Bravo57 »

Just got one on Monday, Blackberry Storm 9530. Pretty cool phone. I fat-finger it most of the time, but getting used to it.

If you are a crackberry freak like me, you'll love this thing.

Cool. I need to upgrade my office phone to a Blackberry, and this one looks pretty cool. Is this the iPhone killer?

Pretty much.

The only downside so far is that it eats batteries. I'm sure that pretty soon a new beffed up battery will be available (hope so). I can only go about 3/4 of the day before I have to charge it some more. (disclaimer, I use the phone a fucking bunch)

I handled one the other day. The whole click interface thing just didn't work for me. Apparently there is a trick about putting a folded piece of paper behind the battery for better click performance.

Also, if you are using Bluetooth that is likely your biggest battery killer. If you never plan on walking around looking like the borg with one of those things in your ears, disable it. You should get a lot more time out of the battery.

Thanks X, I need to use the "hands free" bluetooth for work. I don't mind about the battery time. Just need to monitor it.

I really don't mind the interface, for some reason, this knuckledragger picked it up and it works well for me. I think this was set up with jackasses like me in mind, it's really easy to work through all the apps and I've had no issues with the "clicking" like you said and that I've read about.
