Not sure how to answer this than to say read all the posts on the subject.
It happens for prior service, but very rarely. Got to MEPS and see what happens.

I work at OCS and have had quite a number of prior service in situations similar to yours come through the course. None of them talked of any difficulty getting into OCS. The biggest difference is in the selection of your branch. Putting in your packet while still on active duty gets you a better shot at getting the branch you want because you'll pick it before you come to OCS. However, going straight from MEPs to basic (maybe) to OCS will put you in competition with the rest of the OC's for what branch you will get. It's OML based, which they just started a few months ago.
Best thing to do to get the answers you want is to start talking to a recruiter in your area. That way you can bullshit check the answers you get with people here. I figured I'd just let you know it's been done.
Time to make a choice. Go to Regiment as a hooah, or go to OCS and become an officer.

Mosh Pit would be better. Kilted Heathen's just upset because he never served in Regiment.ShockDawg wrote:yeah sure, is this the place to have that convo, or should I post elsewhere about adventure racing? If you have time, can you share a little bit about adventure racing?
