Moving Violation

Post by Hairy »

Rangers and SFC_Hit it, roughly 30 minutes ago, I was issued a ticket for going 81 in a 60 on the high way. If I pay the fine ASAP will this in anyway take away my Option 40. No excuses for my speeding, pushing now. Thank you for your time.

Don't know if things are still the same, but when i was in recruiting in 2000 it wouldn't have made a difference, as long as you pay the fine.

Slow the fuck down or get a damn radar detector. :)

I know when applying for a security clearance it says to leave out most traffic violation. One of the forms I remember filling out had you list anything over $150... I don't remember which that was though. Point being, you should be ok. Just don't do it again.

All true.

Paid tickets (keep the receipt) will not be a problem.

Since you're clearly not scared of impacting something at 80mph, you'll have no fear of parachute malfunctions in jump school.

Nice that you think so much of your potential career/opportunity that you were pulling stupid shit before you get in...

That ticket shouldn't hurt your contract...but what does it say about you?

I don't obey the rules...they don't apply to me...

I don't want to conform to what EVERYONE else needs to do...I am my own person...

I have no self discipline...I do what I want....when I want...

I don't care that I have been given an opportunity that THOUSANDS would kill for...and few can achieve...

==========

Why am I being an asshole about this?

Because I made a similar mistake 4 days before I left for Ranger School.
I was too focused getting my last piece of ass before I went, living off post with my girlfriend, and woke up late for formation. Everyone was gone on deployment...Long story short, I got clocked by a Civilian on post Cop doing 65 in a 25 (the short cut back to Batt)...if he wrote that ticket...I would have lost everything I had worked for...13 months at Battalion...gone...

But for the grace of God...go I....

He just told me to get to work...slowly...

Check yourself stud...every time you start to fuck up...just check yourself...

Speed limits are for slaves.

Dude, is your speeding an infraction or a misdemeanor?

Ranger BadMuther, it was an infraction that I paid of the day I received it. Waiverable as well, so no court appearance required.
