zach.ofalltrades wrote:I appreciate the welcome from some, but the hostility seems a bit extreme. My grammar did include "periods, commas and shit". The caps you got me on I guess but then again I didnt think I was walking into an english class. I deal with attention to detail everyday with the job im currently in, and since I was assuming this was a friendly forum I wasnt aware there were people so ready to ding my grammar.

Advice on my grammar has been taken, but as for my question is there anyone that has any information on it?

No matter where you are, what you do in life, clear communication is important.
In any infantry unit, grammer aids in little things like clear, concise orders - giving & recieving them for example.
Or in understanding the wee little lessons the RIP cadre might care to impart to you, if it doesn't ruffle your feathers, that is.

If you ever get to RIP, or whatever PJ selection is called, you'll need to check your ego at the door. No one cares what you were, only what you have on the Day. It works the same way when you face an armed enemy in the three dimensions, as a significant number here have, the ones who were "rudest" to you in particular.

We're not friendly to outsiders for a reason. Live with it or leave.
Most everything you'd want to learn, outside of whether or not you have the guts for Ranger selection, is on one or another forum here somewhere.
Should you manage to take the leap and make it to RIP (or PJ or Underwater Messkit Repair, wherever) graduation, make sure you show back up & say "Gotcha ya F****rs!".
We'll welcome you then.
But then, of course, you'll have to deal with being a cherry private in Regiment.

I didnt mean hostility as in im crying about someone getting pissed off at me. Id be fine getting yelled and smoked all day. So again, I apologize and I have much respect for those who are already rangers.

To answer PJ rick, the reason I didnt try for PJ is they wouldnt let me try on account I cant pass the isahara test for colorvision, but I can pass the army red/green. The air force doesnt accept the red/green, not since 99.

I also didnt mean that I think the army is "easier", on the contrary, I find the air force too easy and im looking to be in a crowd I can relate to more.

Pretty rough due to my first ambigous reply, I didnt mean to make my apology sound sarcastic if thats how it was taken. It seems like ive pissed off alot of good guys on here though so ill shut up and color. If anyone on here does fail the Isahara but passes the red/green and is a Ranger then id like to ask them some questions.

Humbly bowing out...
Lighten up, Francis.
