My Introduction

Post by elcid2000 »

Hello, my name is Michael I'm 30, have a BA in Criminal Justice from The Citadel and I've recently decided to join the Army. My reasons are varied, but mainly, I’m not doing shit that matters! My country is at war and I’m concerned with how many thing-a-ma-jigs I’m selling or what’s on T.V. That’s just fucked so I’m going to change it.
Since I’m going to join the Army I decided that I will try to be the best they have to offer and this is what brings me to this site. I’m going to just sit here quietly and glean any little nuggets I can and file them away for later use. I realize that my age might be somewhat of a hindrance in my obtaining my goals but if there is a way to acchieve them I’ll figure out some way to do it.

Since Friday I’ve been devoting about two hours a day reading the older posts on this site and I’ve already learned quite a bit but I do have some questions. I’ll post them later in the appropriate forums and I’ll eagerly await any information I am lucky enough to receive form y’all.

I’ve already talked with a local recruiter and he’s going to call and set up an appointment for a practice ASFAB so I don’t even have that score to share with the board yet.

:?: Is my avatar OK? If not I'll fix it ASAP.

I saw you compete in triathlons? I just did an Olympic Triathlon this weekend. It was a charity event for the "Fallen Soldier Fund" and it was brutal. By the time I got to the run it was 98 degrees. I still finished, just not as fast as I would have liked.....Oh yeah, nice choice in avatar.
