Graduated Class 06-08

Post by prunus_cerasus »

Hello Rangers! I graduated RIP Friday, wow it was something. I learned the meaning of stress. I remember in basic when we'd say we were cold, one of our Drill Sergeants (who "made it through RIP but his first weekend in bat got in a bar fight and knocked out an E-6 in the Regiment and got kicked out") told us "you don't know the meaning of cold. You Ranger options will find out." I did at Cole Range when my Ranger Buddies toenails were blue and I fell asleep watching glitter and stars float up out of my chest listening to guys cry. I can't imagine how hard it was back in the day! I'm enjoying my 4 day pass and going to 2nd bat here soon. This site helped me an enormous amount, I'd like to thank all the Rangers here for putting the proper fear in me before I arrived. DEP's never quit!

Congratulations young Ranger. You have been a board member for over two years and only have seven posts including this one, I guess it pays to just sit back and read and PT your ass off. You have worked very hard to accomplish what you have, the other DEPs should take notice and follow the example that you have set.

Welcome to the Ranger Brotherhood! Let us know when you get settled into a platoon up there, and we'll get you verified. Congrats on going to 2nd Bat. That's some beautiful country up there. Best of luck to you.

Congrats! Now you're ready for the hard part. Establishing yourself so other Rangers will trust you WHEN you go to war, and of course, Ranger School.
Good deal, you got the battalion that has terrain features to train on and is free of chiggers, other than those imported in the armpit hair of Seattle hippiechicks.
