Introduction

Hello,
My name is Daniel I joined the army and completed basic training at Ft. Benning. I had the initial intention of staying in the reserves and completing a ROTC program and was a student of Ranger J. Rico. I switched to active duty with a 13F opt. 40 contract. I completed 13F AIT and I am now on holdover at Ft. Sill waiting for an Airborne school slot to open up.

Congratulations on securing an option 40 contract, Daniel. Now your adventure is just beginning as my son is 3 months away form ETS & his is ending.

Ah yes to reluctance to use "FIST" out in the real world.
Welcome and good luck. I'm sure Ft Sill is as interesting as it was in 77. And the cultural mecca of Lawton brings to mind bad memories also.
