RS ABN RIP or ABN RIP then..........

Post by greensoldier87 »

I am looking to re enlist. I obviously want to be a Ranger. I want to be in the regiment. My 2SL is ex batt and says to get my tab before RIP. Easier said than done IMHO. I was looking for a little weigh in as to what to do.

The thing is if you reenlist for Ranger school you'll incure a normal service obligation to the unit that sends you (Usually a year). And I don't think you can reenlist for a school and unit of choice. You should reenlist to go to Regiment and the other stuff will happen.

well as I have been told here since like me you are a combat vet, we are NOT required to prefix with Ranger, although I will gladly reply if certain Rangers feel it necessary for me to do so. (Ranger Rgrking)
