Not disclosing UNIMPORTANT medical issues at MEPS

Post by vash113 »

I haven't found any answer to this yet.
At MEPS, If I choose not to disclose certain medical information that I deem unimportant and that will have no impact on my performance in the military, for example:

-mild heart murmur as a child that went away
-counseling visits
-ADD medication as a kid

Will it have any affect on me later? By that I mean when I apply for a security clearance and they check my background will they throw this crap in my face and deny my clearance?

I know it won't affect my performance in the military but I don't trust MEPS. I think when they see the mild heart murmur that I used to have I will be unable to obtain an option 40. I also don't want to have to get all the paperwork on it either.

All knowing and wise Rangers what should I do?

Heart murmur should not show up anyway--if it went away early.
counseling visits - if it was for raping your sister...probably nogo..but other than that...not a biggie necessarily.
ADD Meds- you can't control what mommy does to you --so again --not a prob.--unless it was until last week......

Just so you know...the process for getting a Security Clearance isn't someone "THROWING SOMETHING IN YOUR FACE"-- it is your government employer...VERIFYING that you are able to handle the information you are given in a reasonable manner.

Best of luck to you stud....

Frankly, I'm already tired of your needy posts.

That "All knowing and wise" crap can come to a screeching halt too.

You're "that guy" in the patrol-base.

We all know "that guy".

Do something about it would you?
