I got a call right before Desert Storm from a Reserve Recruiter telling me that IRRs were getting ready to be activated and that by joining a reserve unit I would be able to choose the one I wanted to deploy with. I cut my long ass hair to military specs, quit wearing peace beads, quit my hippie-ass friends , and started making plans to go to the Middle East. The fuckers never did call me up
