What would be your favorite knife to own?

Post by cams »

If money was no option, what would you buy for a favorite or fantasy knife you've always wanted?

OR, if you already own it, what is it and what do you like about it?

I think mine would be a Cold Steel tanto, not sure what it's called but it's got a special coating on the blade to make it super hard and hold an edge.

Compared to regular Cold Steel knives these are about 600.00 to 800.00 dollars, depending on blade length.

Haven't seen them for about 5 yrs or so, but I still remember holding it at the store, man, she was beautiful. 8)

I would have to opt for the Stars Wars Jedi "light sabre". I don't care what color it was, I just want one. I am still waiting for the real deal to show up on Ebay. My second purchase would be the, "How to be a jedi for dummies" book by Yoda.

The one problem with the Halo is it's single action only. You've got to re-cock it before firing the blade a second time.

Makoras, Troodons, Scarabs and Ultra Tecs and the UTX don't have that problem being DA. Push the release, blade fires. Push back, blade retracts and ready to fire again, no re-cocking necessary.

Funny thing is there was a marriage of both Brend and Microtech with this Halo:

I had a Gerber MK II Survival knife when I was in. Foolishly, I sold it some years back. I wish I had it now.

Wusthof Classic Cook's Knife, 23 cm. Its versitile, stays sharp, and gets used every day. It won't kill a terrorist, but it'll make short work of a pork shoulder.

Don't know much about Randalls, except that they are pricey.

But that's 2 for Randalls so far. Are they work knives or display due to the cost and how would you guys customize them to fit your vision? Aren't they all one piece with a hollow handle?

CM, that Micro is sweet! 1500.00 dollars!?!?! WTF! Is that one yours or a wish knife?
