Until yesterday, he was the only one who held on to the squad leader position out of the original 4. We just got a phone call last night. He was sitting in the Drill Sgt's office. He was just promoted to Platoon Sgt. He had 15 guys under him as squad leader but now has 57 guys. We are traveling south on Easter weekend for our first visit and are looking forward to seeing both soldiers if possible.
That's awesome. Tell your son he's doing great things, and tell him to never stop pushing himself. The leadership experience will definitely make him a better soldier.

We had the Knesek twins in our platoon when I arrived. Fell for this trick twice.

"allright shit head, your going to race Specialist Knesek in opposite directions down the hall, down the stairs, through 1st platoon and back up the stairs, he will of course pass you on the way and be sitting on the bunk when you get there".

WHEN as a cherry you could actually make it through 1st platoon and thought you had to be in the lead because you pass the 1st Knesek who appears to be walking, get to the room throw open the door and there he sits, your in shock. :D :D :D

One quick question for the Rangers. Are there any regulations concerning brothers assigned to the same Battalion? Is it forbidden? Is it recommended?
My brother got to my company just after i got medically re-assigned, but after him there was a set of three brothers (balcowski) and the fassbenders, plus charlie51's brother was in our company too. i know my brother caught alot of shit from my e-4 and e-5 friends, like stover and boyer, but he was a better Ranger because of it.

Thats awsome Dan :!:

I remember two sets of brothers when I was in battalion.

There were the twins, the "V" brothers, and J and J Hovey.

I love it when a family sticks together.

I feel for the same trick with the "V" twins from B Co. PLT.

I take it that means he is "home" waiting for RIP? If so, tell him to get his 4th point of contact out and do some PT. I recommend ABs and LLlllooonnngggg RUNS. (LOL). Awesome, congrats to both of you!! 8)
