Off to OSUT

Post by SAVAGE^ »

Rangers, Veterans, DEPers and the alike. First off I'f like to thank all of you for the great information and advice provided by you on this forum. It has trully been a pleasure to be a member of such an excellent forum.

I find myself looking back to my first post where I stepped on my dick and then still struggled to recover. I have been a member for over 17 months and have learned so much that will be used to become successful in the Army and my goal to become a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment.

I arived at MEPs yesterday and will spent tonight at the hotel. I'm using these last few hours for preparing myself for this instant change of lifestyles. Today, I finished all of my paperwork and my Airborne physical and tomorrow I do my final swear in and take the limo to the airport.

I will report with sitreps whenever I get the chance. I will never quit and live the Ranger Creed everyday.

Thank you again for all of your guidance and your service to our great country.

Respectfully,

SAVAGE^

Thank you Rangers for all the encouragement. I will never quit and promise to push 100% and then some. I believe the "LIMO" subject is sketchy as that’s what the "other DEPs" are all talking bout. I enjoy sitting in the back and listening to all the horror stories about OSUT, drill Sgt. and what not. I think it’s really the nickname given to the bus we depart to the airport with. Again thank you for this great service provided to us DEPs by the Rangers and Veterans of this website.

Pushing on,

Rangers,
Today I graduated Basic (week 9). It is definately a good start. My APFT score is a 274 as of the last test but today we had a quick test but for some reason we didn't do the run. I did 84 push ups and 77 sit ups. I would have done a 14:00-14:30min 2mile. We have an excellent rank structure. Our Company got a new Captain that is a Ranger and we have a few other Ranger Drill Sergeants in our company including my SDS. I'm enjoying every bit of it and havn't regret a moment yet. I still havn't quit and don't ever plan on it. Yesterday they asked the company who wanted to drop their RIP contract. I couldn't help but laugh. It hasn't even crossed my mind. I just need to get my run down and then I'll be completely confident I can make it into the 75th Ranger Regiment. Thank you Rangers for all your time spent on all of us DEP's and this great forum. I'm off to go eat some unhealthy food and relax a little. I'm not sure the next time I'll have internet access so if anyone would like to write me for anything my address is:
