Ranger Steadfast, If you want me to quit asking questions, Just tell me to STFU. I can take it.

Regards, w6
That was not my intention. Your inquiries and input are gladly accepted. I just threw in that line. My topic kept growing from wanting to find out about the weight of water & ruck. I honestly can't say as there was never a scale handy to weigh items. Actually that was never a priority. The needs of a mission always came first. Drive on w6. Post freely!

Thank you Ranger h8train. Your answers will help me immensely. You have done a OUTSTANDING JOB! If I could promote you, I would definitely do so. I thought my queries were going to remain on this board unanswered and fading into the background. You have made this old timer very happy. Thank You again. Thanks for the PM answer to the last question. Thank you h8train.

Lower it to 19 rounds and yer are correct. Plus you already answered my question. Never ever had a weapons jam my entire tour. I heard bad things about having 20 rounds in a 20 round magazine. I never ever experienced a malfunctioin weapon wise of any kind. Needless to say, I was very happy with the performance of my weapon and ammo.

Ya, we use to circle the wagons on high ground too.
That may be so DoorGunner, but I can't think of a prettier site above me than you guys drawing the heat off my ass. There was one thing the enemy liked killing just as much as a team of LRRP and that was that "Circling Wagon" in the sky!

Here is a spreadsheet submitted by RangerGronk for estimating rucksack weight, or total load for a soldier: Soldiers_Load.xls (~550Kb, Microsoft Excel Required).
