Cool Guy Question.
Cool Guy Question.
If you were barred from choice of standard modern US military Small Arms, what would you take to war instead?
Small arms only! As in Rifle, Pistol, Subgun and Shotgun *For you wise asses out there that would reply with "nukes" or a "plotting board." Same thing with body parts like: "My Cock"...Etc.
Availability of ammo and spare parts is not an issue.......
My choice:
FN/FAL,
Glock 21,
1928? Thompson Sub machine gun that takes drums. AKA "The Chicago Typewriter."
Remington 870 - Military type with a "duck bill" adapter. if it still exists.
You may think this is a Bull Shit post, but you would be telling lies if you have not thought about it yourself at least once......If this has already been posted, consider it an update. Opinions of those with years of experience (Like before I was born in 76') would be greatly appreciated.

I'd shoot for an M-1 Garand or a BAR. I like the 870 and for a sidearm I'd track down a .45 fo one kind or another. I currently have a Taurus PT 24/7 in .45. It would do. I'm looking to pick up a Garand in the near future.

Carbine:
I like the AR type weapon, it's what I know. However, I would be curious about the Grendel round, or something with a bit more punch. AR-10 maybe with all the SOPMOD gear added? ACOG / EoTech / TacLight / Vltor stock, you know... the works. Just in a more potent caliber.
FN-FAL with a Rail System
H&K G3
Sidearm:
A very well made 1911 or a Glock 21 with good sights, tons of magazines.
Kinfe:
Definitely my Emerson Combat Commander and my SOG.
Scattergun: My Benelli Super 90
Subgun: MP-5 (40 cal) or maybe the UMP-45 (never fired this weapon, but love the .45 round)

LEE Enfield "Jungle Carbine". It's short, sweet, accurate and in.308 all I need for a variety of things. 870, gotta love it, especially today with all the specialty rounds in buck and dime combos. Handgun? Glock 19 with plenty of mags to include the 30 rounders made for the 17 for CQB. Good folder (Karambit for up close and personal) and a good ol' K-BAR for dirty work. Oh, and a "Hillary for President T-Shirt" (drive on rag )
