Intro
Hi everyone. My name is Derek. I'm 23 and graduated from Penn State last May with a degree in IT. I've been doing part time consulting/web design for the last few months and I decided that I'm looking for something more than just a "job." I took the ASVAB today and my AFQT score was 99, not sure about my line scores yet. I've got a couple of personal issues to work out at home but I'm planning on going DEP shortly and hopefully heading to basic in August. I wanted to thank everyone running/participating with this site - the information I was able to go to my recruiter with was excellent.

Ranger V-Rod, by 74 series do you mean Chemical Weapons Specialist? I had been planning on going in 11x with Option 40 because my goal is to be a Ranger.Are you planning on going 74 series? If so I can tell you right now that there are no slots in the Regiment for that MOS, if Rangering is in your plans.

Welcome to the site. I've spent some time up in State College. My favorites were the pitchers of long island ice tea at the Cafe and Acme Pizza before the cops shut them down after the riots in Beaver Canyon. Enjoy the info all these Rangers are generous enough to share with us.
