Novagal62 introduction

Post by Novagal62 »

Hello to all!

My name is Tina and I am a 34yr. wife/ mother, and an high school grad.

My sole purpose is to verify when/where my late, great uncle served during WWII, Korea and possibly those who may of served with him.

Here are a couple pics of him.

I would also like to see if anyone has ever seen this version of the 503rd "The Rock" patch and where I might obtain one, as I am trying to put together a tribute to him that I will give to my brother, who is currently serving in the Army.

God Bless,
Novagal62

p.s. I know the patch pic isn't that great but the original pic was very small.

Is there a specific forum that I should post my query to, or should I just stay here?

Here are a couple more pics of my uncle.

His name was Armando "Monty" Bartlett and he was a Master Sargeant. From all of the pics in uniform that I have he had patches for the:

11th Airborne
40th
187th
503rd

That last pic looks like a Combat Scroll. Korean War era Ranger possibly?

I then asked the Lord: "Why was there only one set of footprints?"
He answered: "The terrain was beginning to constrict and our hit time was coming close. So I put us in a Ranger file."

I will forward his name to the Korea-era Rangers. They are a great group and very hard working in the history department.
