well hello i am 20 years old male, and decide to go 11b with option 40.
i went through Af T.A.C.P Past and made it. i decided to become a ranger, after i was gaining my knowlege of what rangers do i figured it would a once in a life time chance, and would interest me more. i would eventually like to become S.W.A.T. if i ever decide to transition out of the military.
ive already been down to meps and just waiting for my Prk eye surgery waiver to get back, so i can enlist now rather than in october.
that was my introduction..
now my questions, i did search and was a little confused about the process to become an army ranger.
here is my understanding, please assit me if you will.
first you attend your basic( or Osut)
then go Airborne.
from there you go through hell called "rip"
then you go to your battallion?? one of the 3 ranger battallions??
then you eventually go to "ranger school"????
if that is the case, are you a "ranger" after completing rip???
what do you do at the battallion before going to ranger school?
are you still allowed to wear the "tab" after rip if you dont stay at the bn?
as if going to the 82nd or the 101st?
thanks for the understanding, i am sure people will benefit from this as well.
i also know you have seen these questions a million times.
it would be easier if the forum wasnt cluddered with some people just lieing or becoming retarted at the moment the sit in fron of the computer.
thanks again for the help.
Rip then go to the bn then ranger school?
This is also posted in the wrong forum.
If you were a TACP in the AF you should have posted it here: http://www.armyranger.com/bb/viewforum.php?f=26

WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK THIS IS???? FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!
Every damn day on this forum, I see another spoiled, lazy teenager who thinks he deserves easy answers handed to him upon request. I'm sorry, fellow Rangers, for this outburst but I don't know where you find the patience! The sense of entitelment in this country is spiraling out of control! ARggghh!!!!!!!
As for you, bte45, you cannot follow directions. You think you are special. You are not Ranger material. Get a job in the civillian sector where being an idiot is acceptable.

Thank you for your desire to become a Ranger. As Ranger Spartan advised, use the search feature of this site. It is very easy to use. Your questions are very common, have been answered many times, and those answers are very easy to find. Good luck.
WE NEED MORE RANGERS!

after you make a proper intro, in the proper place, explain what TACP Past is and whether or not you were a TACP, or just accepted to be one.
