The Battalion's go on block leave before and after deployments, unless you have a family emergency, those are the only times you can really go on leave. Your son will be new and have A LOT of stuff to do to get up to speed like everyone else!

Yes, it's safe to say he will have A LOT of stuff to do...a lot of sweating, push ups, low crawling, flash/flood drills (I hated that shit). Man, he is in for the adventure of his life. Good stuff.

No they don't have leave after RIP anymore. Just show up at Batt. and find out when the next block leave is. That should be his first question by the way.
