Definately one of those aircraft that you're glad is on your side.

Had to deal with them at NTC back in early '00. They would fly for us for a few hours, leave, and then come back flying for the other side. No live rounds thankfully, but when you can see one flying at you from the driver's periscope of a tank...that's not fun.

During my last trip to this lovely paradise, I had the pleasure of watching an A-10 smoke the shit out of a bunch of Iraqi vehicles. They never had a chance. I heard there is a new, more lethal updated version coming out, which is good for us, bad for everyone on the business end.

yeah you guys should have seen the marine amphibs the A10s smoked outside of Al Nasreya in 2003......................what a fuck up
