When I completed Basic ABN we actually had something wrong with the UMGOWA towers and did not get to use them during the second week! We instead opted to spend the week on the SLT and the rope a dope towers.

If ANYONE fell out of one of moring PT runs, they were immediatley dismissed from the course! Is this still the policy or has it become more relaxed? I HOPE NOT!

I went through before the towers were finished, we just jumped out of the fourth story windows at the barracks using poncho's.

Hence the term of PLF was born................Poncho Landing Fall (4th floor eh)

When I went through you were allowed to fall out of one run, excepting the final (slow ass easy) five mile run that everyone had to complete.

The runs are only challenging if the runner personally consumed more than two pitchers of Benning Brew Pub Hefeweizen during the previous evening's festivities. Honestly, but even then there is no excuse for falling out.

Graduated on 28APR06, thank God! I do not know the Battalion policy, however, in Delta Company: If you fell out of the 5 mile run or 2 of the 3-4 mile runs you were kicked back to the next company, not out of the course.

Oh and the towers are only used every other class or so. Most of the time the only thing falling from them are rigged up dummies to show malfunctions.
