Hello Rangers, thanks for the Welcome and I will agree.. San Antonio, is a great place to hang out. Lackland is actually a great base when you are not in basic. I spent two weeks back there for the Medical Review Board and such and had a fair amount of free time to get to see all of San antonio that I had not seen.
I have been back several times since leaving the service, but mostly for horse shows.. which means up at 3 am in bed at midnight and since I am there as a trainer and instructor.. means that I dont see anything but four legged creatures and the kids that belong to the horses...
but.. it has an awesome water park.. the zoo well it needs to be brought into this century.. or did back then.. as it was sort of well shall we say ..old style, lots of cages, animals in very small pens.. but other than that.. an awesome place to visit.. weather is fairly nice too.. of course.. that comes from someone who thinks the humidity in GA, TX and SC is a nice break from home ( about 15 miles from the Gulf as the crow flies)
Once again Rangers thank you for the warm welcome, especially from the wives.
