Instead of using a Army Issue 9mm, can you use a SIG P226 or P228? It seems that special forces operators use those and costomized 45.'s

In the 75th Ranger Regiment you will use what you are issued. Personally owned firearms are not used for training purposes and discouraged to be brought along to combat ops. On several occassions, when POF's were brought on combat ops, they were confiscated.
