How good does my vision need to be?

Post by Gunrunner »

Hello, the last time I spoke on this forum I was fifteen and was told that I should wait until I was 16 to start asking questions, well now I've been 16 for a few months now, so here it is.

I want to be a Ranger more then anything, my grandfather was a Ranger, my Uncle served in the Army, and it's just something I've always wanted to do. I'm physically fit(track, wrestling, football) fairly intelligent, and mentally stable. My one problem is that I have pretty bad vision, Not so bad that I can't read a book, but bad enough that I can't read some print on a chalkboard from the back of a classroom. I'm not sure what my vision is exactally, but it's not close to 20/20 but may be correctable. My question is, would my vision be something that would bar me from becoming a ranger?

Thanks for the help.

Hey Gunreunner, why don't you read my stickeys.

You could answer your own vision questions.

Read it, knock out 50, reply back that your pushups are completed and I will entertain any questions you may have.
