Rifle Ballstock

Post by Dark_Horse_6 »

A solution to the problem of having the M4 buttstock slip off the RBA while conducting CQB occurred to me in the Fort Stewart shoothouse in April 1998 duing the SOT MTT. Here's the result of a number of years of dwelling on the problem. It ain't perfect, but I think it'll work in lieu of a sling. I've floated the concept of the Rifle Ballstock to many quarters. I respect all user opinions, but this forum hold's position as the most important.

I'm asking for an assessment from folks that know. I have a blog at :::LINK REMOVED BY ADMIN::: This isn't a product push- it's a call to end users who have user RBA and M4's in CQB to voice what they know.

OK. I've searched you out, watched your videos, and am of a couple of opinions:

You've never been in an operationally deployed

You're kidding us with this shit

Fine for some drone standing a checkpoint gate all day, who's too lazy to hold his rifle

You've been hitting a crack pipe a bit too hard

You believe that attaching a rifle to your armor (btw, nobody uses RBA anymore) is GOOD? Try rolling around in the dirt, lowcrawling, vaulting low and hight walls, through windows, etc. Still believe?[/list]

Why would you come here and on your first posts start pushing this POS? Then state that you're not here to push any commercial product?

If I show you rolling around in the dirt, lowcrawling, vaulting low and hight walls, through windows, etc. would you believe? We shipped the Gen-1 prototype to Iraq yesterday. USASOC ordered two prototypes today. We'll keep you informed.

I don't know. I'm pretty old school, and believe that the rifle stays in yer mitts, not attached to your shoulder. It would have to have an awfully big and foolproof release for someone like me to even consider it.

I remain a skeptic.

From KS, close enough to MO to follow through on my B2/75's demand for a Show-Me if I didn't think it was an amazingly dangerous POS. The absolute result of pogue's having far too much time, too little real-world experience and way too little to do.
