Roger that Ranger Kilted Heathen.

I thought I had "quoted" his entire post, obviously the problem was I was thinking.

I was referring to military service. I obviously have no military experience to speak of.

jfm, I pretty much think you are simply full of crap...

A CJ degree which means to me a couple of years ago you were going to go and be a big bad cop, now one of your bud's is over in Sand City, so you've had this epiphany that's made you suddenly want to join the military, further join the most elite fighting force within the military and become a Ranger... Oh, I buy that. Hell, I would invest all of my money in you and hire you tomorrow. Or NOT.

My logic is simply this. When I watch young men come in here and decide whether or not I am going to work with them or not I look for some definitive qualities. Drive, determination, Integrity and certainly that focus, that drive that's going to carry them through all the trials that lie ahead...

You come in here with, "Hi, I am uh, Biff SchoolKaBopper and um, I uh am getting my degree in um, criminal justice in a little while, not yet, but soon and I was thinking about becoming an Officer maybe, well I dunno maybe not, maybe I will be a Ranger because my mom's half brother's, cousins, sister's brother's cousin was in the Army 30 years ago and um, I knew this guy in band camp and he's in the Air Force in Iraq and that's like cool or something..."

For your sake, read as much as you can. Read everything that you see on here. The good, the bad and the ugly. Order some books and then read them. This need's to be something you want for something inside you, not because you are on a whim... You are in the grown up world now, playing with big boy toys, when you make a big boy decision and start posting that way, you'll see some support from me. Untill then, I hear that Well's Fargo has some good jobs and that they need guys with CJ degrees...

I know a prospective future as a Ranger and a Officer would be very challenging both mentally and physically and I am excited for the oppertunity to see if I have what it takes
I'm going to go out on a limb here and give you a heads up.

You either WANT it or you DON'T. No middle ground.

Good luck with your decision, welcome.
