Spartan,
My son is an 11B in XXXXXXXXXXXX. & you probably know where he is. We were cautioned to use extreme OPSEC in a form letter from Bn.
I had the honor of turning him blue & see the graduation at Benning on 13,14 May. That same afternoon he reported to BAC & then RIP after that.

I'm Airborne qualified so am not technically a leg. I just never served in a unit that was on jump status long enough to go operational.

Thanks to everyone for a that nice welcome. I'm going to enjoy this site & after I get my feet wet I'll recommend some sites that I'm involved with.

Guess a lot of MSG's must be getting bored with retirement or else the WX is turning cold enough to turn them towards the computer. If there was a convention I missed it! Maybe the Old Soldiers Home got some computers. LOL

Sapper 1SG,Ret.,
I didn't get to the RIP graduation but I turned him blue on 13 May & watched him graduate on 14 May. I was down for just about the whole week & left Sat. AM. (15 May) for WI. He was in the BAC class that only lasted 2 weeks due to the Cadre wanting to jump on Normandy on 6 June, the normal graduation day for the class. He went to RIP holdover & I think he was in that same class that your son was in. Either that or the very next one. I can't think of the exact date either but I think that's close. I know i have the info around somewhere. I know his BAC class graduated on 1June. That's easy to remember because that's the day he graduated from high school one year earlier!
When did you retire?
