Doc, I have shin splint compression wraps listed in the link below. I have trouble running with them as they compress the back of my calves and make it uncomfortable for long distances. Any input above what was put in all the other threads?

I don't know if they'll answer your question, but here are a couple threads relating to that:

I didn't have time to read the links....was just hoping it might be in there. Doc is out of the AO for an undetermined amount of time. Hopefully, one of the other medics can answer your question. I don't have the answer, or I'd give it to you. Good luck.DEPforbutterbar wrote:Ranger Earthpig, thanks for the links, but I couldn't find my answers in the forums or online. Question is mainly about calves and also if the wraps help while running or if it is better to use them after ice, when walking around. Thank you again.

There is a really good thread here about shinsplints, and what to do to treat, how to train, and things to do that will help prevent them. You'll need to figure out how to push your body without permanently damaging yourself, and all the extraneous shit usually isn't allowed.
