Rest Easy Airborne

Donald Malarkey, portrayed in ‘Band of Brothers,’ has died
Donald Malarkey, a World War II paratrooper who was awarded the Bronze Star after parachuting behind enemy lines at Normandy to destroy German artillery on D-Day, has died. He was 96.
I don't know why, but this has had a deeper impact on me than a lot of the other bullshit we've seen lately.

Wow.

Just a shame very few WW2 veterans are left.

I am not only once again grateful for those men like this who came before me, but thankful he survived and lived a long life.

Rest easy Trooper.

There was an interview from 2007, yesterday, on NPR. Good interview.
