Fuck him. He should be strapped into a shithook and then have multiple RPG's launched at him. So much for integrity as journalist. Hell, it appears he even lied in his apology when he said he saw the bird in front of him get hit and go down. Cool story except for everyone else that said he flew in and landed about an hour later. Fucking tool bag.

Nothing screws up a good war story like a bunch of facts from people who were there.
He misremembered what helicopter he was on 12 years ago?????? I'll tell you what, I haven't been in Vietnam in 48 years and I can close my eyes and see a movie of nearly every Mission I was on...I can smell the stench of the jungle...I can feel the heat and humidity.
He must have gone to the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism.

Just saw that he's stepping down from the anchor position, at least temporarily. I hope his career dissipation light just kicked into overdrive and he gets plenty of time to reflect on how much of a shit bird he is.
