As many of you know we have been working hard to refurbish the VFW. Today we invited the local high school art class to paint a mural on one of our walls....WOW, What an exceptional job these high school art class students did!!!....Wanted to share some pics...The art classes were tasked with sketching some ideas that were then presented to us for selection....I'm very proud of the choice, very modern eh  43 students participated, they started at 8:15am and finished at 2:15pm! They spent time talking and mingling with our Vets.

So...Send me some good vibes next week...I've pretty much bullied my board in to spending lot's of money lately...aside from the refreshing of the building I talked them in to hiring an in house cook (we have killer (unused kitchen facilities)...Monday we shoot a TV commercial. We have 88 spots this coming month that include prime time slots...College football. NASCAR, late night talk shows, local news etc.. ..This is not :If you build it they will come"...

I think I'd take a trip back to Illinois for one of those dishes.

One of the things that I learned as a Ranger, that has helped me in the civilian world, is that a Ranger always needs a Ranger Buddy. Sometimes when we're all alone in a task, it can seem overwhelming. Find someone to share the task/job with, seek their advice and help. Remember, when Jesus sent out the disciples, He sent them out 2 by 2, because all alone they would have been eaten alive. If it's good enough for Rangers and Jesus, it's good enough for me. And if you need to vent, we're always here. Your doing a great and noble thing, thanks, it means a lot to us. Prayers out.
