No way I can do it this year. I'm at the firehouse that day and there isn't enough time to get swaps. But I still wanna do it for real in full turnout gear. That is the only way. Time to start training..

If you've never had the opportunity to meet Ranger Schlitz, by all means do so. We worked together for a couple of years at RTB and I make it a point to see him when I'm in America. His guest speaker speech at the Ranger Graduation was awesome. He is the definition of "Never Quit"

We had absolutely perfect weather yesterday in NYC. I had the pleasure and honor to enjoy the brisk WALK with my dear friend, UNCLE STEAD along with meeting a host of new friends, all sporting the TEAM SCHLITZ shirts in honor of Ranger Michael Schlitz. I not only got to meet Michael & his Mom & the Team Schlitz supporters, but I also gave Michael an autographed copy of my book. I did not stay afterwards, too crowded, as the 25-30,000 people were treated with free drinks and food as well as a concert by the LT DAN (Gary Sinise) BAND. Jake & I were one of the first through the Tunnel with the Wounded Warriors and the entire Corps of Cadets running in formation! I had a wonderful time!
THANX for being with me, Brother Jake!

I timed our entry into the tunnel itself and exit - it was 24+ minutes for us 2 60+ yr. old farts.

gary, you are a true hero. I asked gary and he said he hadn't been walking so Ranger gary gave a good performance.
As the USMA Cadets (2000 strong & loud) passed us running in formation yelling USA AT A DEAFENING LEVEL was surely awe inspiring. I got this on my camera film 4+ minutes with gary motivating each & every Cadet as they passed us.

Some of the wounded warrior were exhausted beyond & were lifted upon a fire truck while other wounded warriors refused aid & struggled mightily to not to quit were enough to make ones heart that even proud as they took each step.
There was no way I was going to stop as each hero showed me the way.

Ranger SCHLITZ left us in the dust with his own personal race as Rangers Lead The Way.
