I really liked Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and was seeing some negative reviews of GOTG2. I was pleasantly surprised that I thought # 2 was better than the original. I also like the fact that these movies are getting my kids into like 70's music.

I hear ya, it dragged in parts and it was frigging long. I think with previews, the movie, the stuff at the end it was almost 2 1/2 hours. We will be getting the DVD. :)

The dam previews now make the movie an extra 40 min. Out movie was supposed to start at 11:45 it was 12:23 when it started. It is getting dumb.

I just watched Suicide Squad. I wanted it to be a good movie, I really did.

I finished the whole movie, but if I had paid for it, I'd have been really pissed. Even the constant shots of Margot Robbie's ass weren't enough to make me like it.

DC your movie was bad and you should feel bad.

That's a good point.

I was bitching at my oldest for not getting out of the locker room after a hockey game so we could make the 1.45 movie.

We got to the theater at 1.50 and I said fuck it, we are going to the 2.15 movie, we are late.

We could have seen the 1.45 no problem. I guess that is the never late to formation gene. :D

Agreed. My girl and I were really looking forward to this one. Saw it in the premiere theatre w/drinks and reclining seats, even that couldn't save it.

We almost walked out it was that bad but after paying nearly 50.00 for tix and drinks we stuck it out.

Yes DC, it sucked bad.

Suicide Squad was on our list, so maybe we will be skipping that one. Thanks for the heads up.

Marvel Studio / Comics is a machine. I can't believe how many movies and spin offs they keep pumping out.

The Marvel movies have been - IMO - pretty damn entertaining, but so far what I've seen of the TV shows has left me unimpressed.

Any movies that you all are looking forward to ?

Dunkirk looks interesting. Apparently the new King Arthur film is a complete flop.

Excalibur was awesome, I have the dvd and we watch it a couple of times a year. Got me into Wagner also.

We watched "Split" a couple weeks ago from Redbox. Both really liked it.

Split personality serial killer drama type. Different than a lot of movies I've seen lately but very well done I thought and pretty freaky towards the end. The actor who played the killer I also thought did a great job portraying several different people.

It's worth the dollar from Redbox.

I have not seen a movie in a theater in over a year. Thank God for Redbox, Blockbuster, and Fios.
