Any Ranger live along I-80.......

Post by Ranger Ron »

I am flying out to NYC on Monday, December 13th to pick up a vehicle. I will be departing New York City mid afternoon on Monday to drive back to Nebraska. Won't have a lot of time, but if there are any Rangers who live close by Interstate 80, I would be glad to stop for coffee or a meal and say hi.

The Friday Dec 17th Link up at Bills Place is 88 miles or so due north of I-80 on I-75. Might I suggest a midtrip slow down that gets you in this AO around Friday, slow down ( which actual ends up "speeding up" going from OH to MI) and divert slightly, meet some of the MI/Midwest Ranger Contigent before you continue on to your home PB...

Man, I know!!!!!! I would love to do that. I envy you guys getting together all the time. I looked at the map to see how far off I-80 you all were. Unfortunately this came up at the last minute and I have to be back in Nebraska before Wednesday. Thanks for the offer however!

I have " alerted " several friends of mine that patrol I-80 along several different A.O.'s that you will be passing through........

Hey Ron,
Your timing sucks Bro'. I live an hour north of the I-80/I-81interchange and would've arranged to link up down there at some eatery or something, but you're passing through when I have finals. Delay a few days & I'll help ya drive to Nebraska.

I am back and made the trip. SPECIAL THANKS TO STEADFAST for picking me up at the airport and delivering me to my vehicle. As far as I could tell, I was the only person that was in NYC and Chicago on Monday and didn't fly. I left the Broncs and Stead at 11:22 and drove through the southern end of Chicago at 23:55. Made it home at 13:20 yesterday. Drove through three blizzards but keep on trucking. Stopped twice and laid my head back for about an hour each time.

Hey. Hey, now!

Actually, I had originally intended to get a motel somewhere but felt good and just kept driving. During the third blizzard I decided to get off and stop. when I came to the exit sign I couldn't find the exit road so I just kept going. Got behind one of the few trucks that were still out there and just followed him till we drove out of the worst of it.
