I think I hear the FBI knocking.. and as little as it's said. It's been widespread that the nation has it's First African American President. Perhaps we can move on and simply call him an American (Obama, that is). My mother is German, but I don't hear anybody referring to me as a German-American or Catholic-American.
As for the flag, I echo some of the sentiments previously stated: As long as you're not desecrating it (shitting on it, stomping it, burning it), I don't really care.

I have over 20 (5x8') flags hanging throughout the ceiling in my basement, at least 4 in my home office and 1 at my work office. The flags that are hanging, hang in almost every fashion (except upside down). I have flag stickers on my vehicles and a flag affixed to my ATV/Quad. I see no harm in any of these flag related activities and I doubt anybody would be 1) stupid enough to challenge me on it or 2) have issues with how they're displayed.
