Israel! It's like the wild, wild west only with ancient historical sites. You can really have a blast there.

I had a very nice week long trip to the small country of Slovenia, they have warm water lakes there.

My favorite European country is Germany. The diversity of sites and sounds and the spectacular winter vistas...nothing compares! One of my favorite memories is sipping Gluwein (sp) on Christmas Eve in downtown Garmisch, Germany.

Sometimes it's the memories that make somewhere more spectacular!

Wow is this a tough one to answer! I've seen many corners of this world and loved some of them. Spent seven years in Europe and saw a great deal (which is perhaps a fraction of a percent) of that continent. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of places I could get passionate about saying you should see. With that said - Switzerland. More specifically a small restaurant perched on the side of a cliff, tucked away in a canyon, a few thousand feet above Grindelwald, across a crevass from the Eiger. I used to sit outside there and watch avalanches tumble down the Eiger only a few hundred meters away. It was incredible. The restaurant (the name of which escapes me) is only accessible by foot or air. The supplies are delivered weekly by helicopter. Damn I miss that place!
