Well, it is official, the 116th MP Co Roughnecks are home at last. It took us 15 months but we all made it home safe, and those sent home early were all at the ceremony yesterday to meet us.
Right now it is hard to type coherently, I got my girl sleeping on one shoulder and more booze than blood running through my system.
Just wanted to put a shoutout..let yall know I made it..and to say good luck and keep your heads down to those that are still there.

Wow first off Ranger RRDTm3...I apologize for not responding sooner. I have been caught up in the hell that is reintegration. Plus, spending time with my girl becca (I proposed a few days ago and she said yes :D so I'm trying to get myself....reaquainted... 
)
So, for the AAR...
My company was in charge of the training for over 35 Iraqi Police Stations in northern Iraq...from as far north as the Syrian Border...to Mosul..to Tal Afar. We had well over 30,000 IPs that we worked with in the course of the 15 months. As most of you who have deployed knows...that means we had roughly 50 Iraqi Police officers who were worth a damned but w/e.
Anything the IPs were called out to, we escorted them to "Oversee and to mentor"... or hold their hands.
We had a very easy tour, compared to my last one and to some tours others are having. I can remember maybe 3 VBIEDs, no more than 20 small arms engagments, and maybe 10-15 IEDs (this is a rough company wide estimate, excluding things we responded to.)
Out of our 7 soldiers sent home, only 1 was a Combat related injury. He spent nearly 6 months in San Antonio, and managed to get back to Riley in time to see us home. Thank God hes doing fine, and got promoted to 5 shortly before our return.
As for myself...well...im finally 21 so I am enjoying that, waiting for my PCS orders to go through, and just enjoying life. Spent quite a bit of time over there, 50-60% of it in a sham job, bored, now I am trying to catch up on real life...doing a damned good job so far!

I've been to Riley as well (briefly) and hated every stinking minute I was there.

Welcome home. As much as I don't want to say it, MPs and MITT teams are carrying the brunt of the work, while everyone else on the conventional side is more or less pulling security.
Be careful and safe during your reintegration. I'm sure you've gotten the speeches already, but facts don't lie.
