Season Premier

Post by Julieanne »

Did anyone watch the premier of Flashpoint on CBS?

I liked it and hope it goes well - unlike Jericho, that one flopped in the end.

I thought it was a good first episode. I thought both the crazy guy who took the hostage and the team leader (who shot crazy guy) were both exceptionally well played.

Wish they'd move it to 9p, though. 10p is my bedtime....

I caught the last half, looks promising.
The legal wringer they put the sniper through is distinctly Canadian - leave no possible means to attempt to screw the cop.
I expect that there'll be some interesting subplots concerning the integration of the JTF2 vet into the civilian swat team, something a few folk here can relate to.

We need something new for our vicarious thrills now that 'The Shield' is on it's final lap.

kinda of liked it except they had to throw a hot chick to show that women are capable of doing risky jobs. Thought they stole from "The Unit" by having a black dude in charge

Of course they did. It's an equal opportunity world out there, you know.

Read the book when it came out. The PL of that unit, Nathan Fick, wrote a better book in my opinion, "One bullet away".

I'm watching this now, pretty good so far.

I'm glad I wasn't a Marine. I respect em', but they definitely get the shit end of the stick.

'One Bullet Away' was very good. The guy that took over Fick's platoon (Morrell) earned the Navy Cross and was KIA.
