Anyone have any extra grenade pins w/ rings laying around?

Post by ANGRYCivilian »

I bought this grenade shifter knob for my Jeep; it's a surplus pineapple grenade. It's cool, but it came with a fake pin and ring that looks like shit. Anyone have an extra one they'd part with?

Might be hard to find, it's one of the main ways the Army counts a grenade as "expended".

I used to use them as keychain rings. Maybe I've got one laying around. I'll check, but don't be too hopefull.

Used to have about a dozen of them about 6 moves ago. I'll check when I get home to see if I still have any.

Any postal workers in the audience?

Clearly to us it is just a metal ring, but the scent of explosives or black powder from NFDD's may still be on them.

Double check beforehand, it may save you some big hassles from the Feds.

I'm sure they have 'sniffing' machines set-up somewhere, called 'Itemizers', we use them at work ourselves to check peoples bags for the scent of explosives as they pass.

Just a forethought.

Huh, I didn't thing about trouble mailing a pin and ring. I do know the grenade shipped ground because it could not ship air, as the other things from Quadratec shipped. Well, if anyone thinks it's OK to mail it and wants to, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, again.
