John is a Master Knifemaker who served in (I believe) 3/75. His brother was KIA in Iraq. If you read 'Not a Good Day to Die' by Naylor, his brother is MSG Bob H. who is likened to Davy Crockett. The nation lost a good one when he died.

I've got a LaRue back up sight. good gear, little pricey. If I had known about the connection, I'd have called in my order and tried to work a discount, instead of ordering online...

Welcome to the site, John. I appreciate your work (and wish I could afford it). I'm also sorry about your brother and appreciate his service and sacrifice for all of us.

A moderator will be by, I'm sure, to welcome you officially. I hope you stick around.

Welcome here, bro....live in Katy and Columbus...more Rangers from Texas around here than you can shake a stick at. Kinda makes all the other 49 states say....hummmm....what dem Texans got we dont got. 8)

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.

RGR jhorrigan,
Call it plain curiosity; I was on the Families United site, and clicked on your link simply b/c it stated the location as Austin, (we're closeby). When I read the bio that stated you served as a Ranger, (& Austin firefighter), I wondered if anyone from this site knew of you.

Welcome to the site. Thank you for your service. 8)
